Rooney Mara, Vincent Lindon, 'Dheepan' win big at Cannes

CANNES, France, May 24 (UPI) -- Director Jacques Audiard's feature Dheepan took the top prize of the Palme d'Or at France's Cannes Film Festival Sunday.
The runner-up Grand Prix went to Son of Saul, which was helmed by Laszlo Nemes, and the award for Best Director went to Hou Hsiao-Hsien for The Assassin.
Michel Franco earned the accolade for Best Screenplay for Chronic and Vincent Lindon was presented with the Best Actor trophy for his performance in The Measure of a Man.
Sharing the award for Best Actress are Emmanuelle Bercot for Mon Roi and Rooney Mara for Carol.
The Jury Prize was awarded to The Lobster, which was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
